What happened to me.

I arrive at Mrs. Rosa's (my SL Consultant) for a scheduled re-tightening appointment and fell asleep in her chair. When I woke up....the SL's were being removed!!! I had a fit. I was crying and yelling and asking her what happened. I didn't realize it at the time because I was sleeping so good (jetlagged).

After getting off a 7.5 hour flight from the UK...I tend to want to get my wig split as soon as I hit the states every 6 weeks. So, I get off the plane...go through customs...get my luggage and my car...then I'm on the way (2.5 hour drive from the airport) to Queen City.

Back to the dream...I wake up and my hair is just awful...I'm not even going to elaborate on the the 4 box braids in the back of my head!!
I was astonished. I was angry. I was appalled. I was heated and most of all...I was very sad. They'd begun to grow on me.

Taking the "new" SL's to London @ 3weeks old.

As the tears began to roll down my cheeks I simply asked Mrs. Rosa, "Why? Why did you do that?".

Mrs. Rosa replied, "I think I made your SL's waaay to small. My carpal tunnel is acting up and I don't think that I can keep doing this."

I replied, "WHAT!!!!"

I argued, fussed and cried and showed every other emotion that you can imagine.

Mrs. Rosa told me that she would re-do them for me..but, I would have to schedule another appointment.

Then I woke up. First I was thinking what in the world am I doing dreaming about my hair. I've never felt this way before. I realized...this is something that I am passionate about. Loving the fact that I am not altering the natural state of my hair. I am napptural and I'm loving it. The comments...the compliments...the stares and glares. Bring them on..because a wall of confidence is what I have.

I realized last night. That I am in love with my Sisterlocks.

Now, don't get me wrong...I've always liked them. But, they are beginning to grow on me quickly. And I am so excited about the progression that I've made so far, where I am now and what I will be in the future (in life and in Sisterlocks) :)

Not to sound obsessive ;)

As they grow and mature, I've realized that I have made a smart decision. Not only are they low maintenance, they are also high quality. Amazing....Just amazing.

Although my SL's are 4 months 3 days old, I plan to share my journey with the rest of the beautiful Sistrerlock'd women around the world. Much love and I hope you enjoy my journey.

P.S. I love my consultant (Mrs. Rosa)..she's like my other mother. I know that she wouldn't do such terrible things to me. I don't know why I dream bad dreams. That one was just horrible.
