After getting off a 7.5 hour flight from the UK...I tend to want to get my wig split as soon as I hit the states every 6 weeks. So, I get off the plane...go through customs...get my luggage and my car...then I'm on the way (2.5 hour drive from the airport) to Queen City.
Back to the dream...I wake up and my hair is just awful...I'm not even going to elaborate on the the 4 box braids in the back of my head!!
I was astonished. I was angry. I was appalled. I was heated and most of all...I was very sad. They'd begun to grow on me.
FROM two strand twists to......
As the tears began to roll down my cheeks I simply asked Mrs. Rosa, "Why? Why did you do that?".
Mrs. Rosa replied, "I think I made your SL's waaay to small. My carpal tunnel is acting up and I don't think that I can keep doing this."
I replied, "WHAT!!!!"
I argued, fussed and cried and showed every other emotion that you can imagine.
Mrs. Rosa told me that she would re-do them for me..but, I would have to schedule another appointment.
Then I woke up. First I was thinking what in the world am I doing dreaming about my hair. I've never felt this way before. I realized...this is something that I am passionate about. Loving the fact that I am not altering the natural state of my hair. I am napptural and I'm loving it.
I realized last night. That I am in love with my Sisterlocks.
Now, don't get me wrong...I've always liked them. But, they are beginning to grow on me quickly. And I am so excited about the progression that I've made so far, where I am now and what I will be in the future (in life and in Sisterlocks) :)
Paris SL's (River Seine)
Not to sound obsessive ;)Although my SL's are 4 months 3 days old, I plan to share my journey with the rest of the beautiful Sistrerlock'd women around the world. Much love and I hope you enjoy my journey.

P.S. I love my consultant (Mrs. Rosa)..she's like my other mother. I know that she wouldn't do such terrible things to me. I don't know why I dream bad dreams. That one was just horrible.

Hi There,
Glad to see you decided to blog. It's addictive I tell ya. I think your hair is gorgeous and I was glad that it was all a dream. Came thru your town on the way to Myrtle Beach this summer. Did you find your consultant there or did you have to travel??
Welcome to the family (I can't believe I am saying that as I'm a newbie myself) Keep us posted!
Peace,
Wendosa
Your sisterlocks are so beautiful. You kinda scared me there with your dream. Welcome to the LHBE.
Girl, you had me scared for a minute there. I've had crazy dreams when I'm real tired too. Welcome to lockdom and yes a love affair with your hair. I sometimes look at my hair and marvel at how God created it to do what's it's done. And we are the only race of people whose hair can do this but few of us appreciate this gift.
I would have had to slap myself after a dream like that!
I think that your hair looks beautiful and yes it is a journey and welcomt to the LHBE!
The dream you shared with us was in a sense a good one because you were able to do one important thing: WAKE UP!
Whew! I'm certainly glad it was just a dream. Thanks for sharing the begining of your sisterlock journey, I will keep an open eye out for your stories to come.
Best Wishes Always,
Eyedinity
That was a trip :)... Thanks for sharing your dream...
I enjoyed your enthusiasm!

Oh, your locs are simply gorgeous from the beginning! I'll definitely be tracking your progress. BTW, is your consulant in Charlotte? Just wondering since we have a "Rosa" who is a consultant here. If so, would love to meet you the next time you come through.
~Light & Love~
Okay, just re-read part of this post and I see you mentioned the "Queen City", so Charlotte indeed. If you think you'll ever have time for a quick meet up, just e-mail me or leave a post on my blog beforehand and maybe we can make a plan.
Good thing it was only a dream!!!! Your locks are beautiful.
I know you are in to your hair to have a dream like that!!! You should be in love with your sisterlocks... They are absolutley beautiful. Reading blogs like yours have convinced me to get my hair SLed. I know I am going to love the lifestyle.
Your locks are absolutely lovely! Can't wait to see them mature.
I see you're from NC too :-)
