BABY FRO

Lately, I've been going through a bit of frustration because my hair is so frizzy. It looks like a baby fro is surrounding my locks when the sunlight shines on them. I don't like that. Nonetheless.....I still decided to go out and have fun trying to NOT think about the baby fro.

Maybe I am washing a bit too rough. Lately whenever I take my hair out of a ponytail...I can smell it. It's not a "stinky" smell...it's just a "hair" smell (if that makes sense). I've asked other people and they say that it doesn't stink and/or smell funny.

When I got them back in august...I was washing them only once...which was a day before my re-tightening (every 6weeks). So, they seemed to be doing pretty well.

But, now...since the smell.. I took it upon myself to wash them two-maybe-three times in between my last re-tightening. Now, it's not so much the smell (to me...since no one else can smell it)...it's the baby fro.

I'm not into all those hair types. I have the slighest idea what hair type I have. It's not too coily...and it's not too loosely coiled. The edges are a lot softer than the middle. BTW...the center of my head is doing spectacular. (yippee!)

But, around the back of my neck, there is a lot of slippage...and some bunching.

I guess I'll be able to blog respectfully now that I don't have to go back to England anymore.

I'll always have my laptop around....especially now that I know where my next job is.....

(drum rolll)

Georgia!!!!!

I've never been to Georgia. I'm sure that it is a lovely place. I'll be there until July on Mondays thru Fridays. I'm so excited about this because I feel like I've been soooooo out of touch, so isolated, so lonely.

Now, at least I'll be able to keep in touch with my family more (family is essential to the soul).

My camera sucks. So, I don't have any pictures of the FRO.
Sorry!

These are some feelings.

Your locks are still coming into their own, once they have settled a bit, the frizziness will decrease. I was discussing the same thing with my consultant, I thought my locks would be perfectly cylindrical without the frizz and it's just not so. She stated my locks are mature and it's how they settled.

If the frizz is still a bit annoying once your locks have matured you can get a grooming which lessens the frizz.

I also know what you mean about the hair smell. Before Sisterlocks I used so many products with heavy scents. Now that I'm using very little of anything, I notice my hair smell.....

Your locks are so cute! Doesn't look too frizzy from the photos. By the way, what part of Georgia will you be in?

You hair looks really full from the pic you posted. Georgia, specifically Atlanta is a lovely place. You're going to love it. Are you coming to the ATL?

Your hair is gorgeous. I think we all experience a "fro stage". I know I gotta be in a fro stage and can't wait to have my retight done.

Looks like they had a blast.

(And I shall pat myself on the back as soon as I finish my last final... I block the ignorant people from chatting on my page... 4,514 songs now. Now I just have to reload my movies. I have never filled mine all the way up. It has 80gb.

I'm so sorry that I missed you in April. I definitely DO want to meet up. Can we try it again? Let me know when you'll be in Charlotte again and I promise to "get it together" this time.

I have the frizz, it's only been a week, when it was first done it had a fresh look to it, now it looks messy-not to sure what I can do so I wouldn't like to give advice just yet lol-but I will be consulting my loctitian- I may have to accept the texture of my hair means it could stay like this forever but it's early days yet. Good luck and if you find a solution please let me know.
