Where have you been?

Since my last post:

1.) I've turned 26 (August 9th)
2.) Had a re-tightening by my new consultant (Vicky)
3.) Moved to Raleigh

In the midst of all of that, I've still been throwing Slumber Parties.

I also took a paycut (for a few weeks).

I could be pessimistic and look at the glass as half empty.

However, I am not that type of girl.

I feel so blessed because despite the economy and it's impact on everything (including the pharmaceutical industry), I still am able to work.

Even though I took a 25% paycut until further notice....I still have all of my benefits and Slumber Parties. Not to mention being able to work 6 hours on Thursday and having every Friday off.

Woo Hoo..

Is that the best schedule ever or what?

I've been pushed, pulled, taken for granted and just plain ole' lost and confused. However, I think everything is finally falling into place by the grace of the man above.

Sometimes timing is so impeccable.

Anyone who wants what they want and doesn't want what they need, I want nothing to do with. I aim to do what I want and to do what I please is first on my "To Do List". - Gnarles Barkley

I am feeling that so much right now. Music can get you through anything.

Ms. Vicky (my new consultant) is a very beautiful sister. I just looooove her hair. She's fast too. This was my first 7-8 week stretch without a re-tighten and she only took 3.5 hours (compared to 4 on a six week schedule). I'm getting goose-pimples just imagining how short my re-tightening will be with Ms. Vicky once I get back on the 6 week schedule.

And get a load of this, she lives 25 minutes away from my new place. (you can't beat that with a stick) From a 3.5 hour drive / 4 hour re-tighten to a 25 min drive and a much faster re-tighten.

Everything is just working out.

I should have said Happy Belated Birthday in the comments on your latest post!!!!

Looks like everything is working out wonderfully for you! Which is awesome!!! I'm so jealous of your work schedule and hope to have something similar once I start working.

And not to mention your new location, your new consultant, your new retightening time and your new distance to drive to your consultant. I am sooooo happy for you! No better way to bring in your 26th B-Day.

Considering the only downside was the pay cut... I'd say you're doing well..

Enjoy your birthday month!

Thanks for the belated bday. I had a great time. I'm in the process of posting pics from the bday party.

Everything seems as if it is working out for the best. I'm so happy to get away from so much negative energy at my old spot. The people...the atmosphere...outta sight, outta mind. This is exactly what I needed.

Yeah, that paycut was a bummer. But from my understanding...it's only suppose to be for a month or so. I think I can handle that. I guess that comes along with being an outsource/contractor. I say... it could be worse...most contractors don't get paid unless their on a client's site. That's not the case. And, most contractors don't get benefits. That also doesn't apply to me. So, I'm thankful for what god has blessed me with. And I'm trying to take full advantage of the situation.
